A Month of MAC: MAC Candy Yum Yum

Hey there,

It's the 31st today... that means one thing, a month of MAC is coming to an end, sad face. I decided to finish of this 31 day series with a bang and when it comes to MAC lipstick, it could only be one.

Ladies and Gentlemen....Meet MAC Candy Yum Yum.

I forgot how pretty this lipstick was until I put it on. I was all about this lipstick in June 2013, I'd picked it up on a whim and I think through the rest of that month I had it on most days...apart from work for obvious reason.

MAC describes this Matte Finish lipstick as a Neon Pink. You can't argue with that....it's a bright one.

A Month of MAC: MAC Girl About Town

Hey there,

Another day, another lipstick.
Today is another little bold pink number. Ladies and Gentlemen...meet MAC Girl About Town.

Love this colour!!

If you have been following this series so far then you might see similarities between this lipstick and Show Orchid.  They are both Amplified Finish lipsticks and the shades are similar. However I find Girl about Town to be a little deeper of a pink and it doesn't have the slight iridescence that Show Orchid has.

MAC describes this lipstick as a Bright Blue Fuchsia.

What do you think of this lipstick? Is it your kind of thing?

A Month of MAC: MAC Pink Pigeon

Hey there,

So yesterday was quite a nice, simple natural lipstick. Today I thought I'd mix it up a bit with something that isn't natural at all.

Meet MAC Pink Pigeon.

I absolutely love this colour and I actually bought it "blind" which means that I got it online and didn't swatch it before I bought. I don't know what it was that drew me to it I think it was the name and the hint that it was quite a bright pink that caught my eye and sent it straight to my basket and into my life.

MAC describe this lipstick as a Bright Cleanest Pink. It is so pretty I just can't believe it. It's a step down from Candy Yum Yum in the brightness scale but it is quite out there, which I like but I know it might scare some people away.

One more thing to mention...it's staying power. Once this Matte Finish lipstick is on the lips it is there to stay. I put this on my lips at 10am and after a lunch at my brother's and an Ice Cream on the beach there was a definite stain there and after a tiny top up it lasted well into the night and was still there a little the following morning (and that is after I cleansed and toned and everything)

This is definitely a lipstick I'm glad is in my collection but is it one that you would buy?

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #15 Barry M TMLP

Hello there,

Day 15 brings you a little bit of magic in a lip bullet and that is Barry M TMLP. This is a lipstick which has puzzled non bloggers and captivated beauty bloggers all around.

In the bullet, this lipstick looks green but it is magic as that isn't the colour that is the end result on the lips. 

Please excuse the face, it's no make up sunday so you get me warts and all but I hope you can appreciate the colour of the lipstick.

As far as I'm aware, Barry M TMLP reacts to each individual persons lip pH which means that the lipstick will be slightly different for every individual. The colour on my lips is a bright pink colour which reminds me of MAC Girl about Town. 

This lip colour does need a little while to develop completely about 30 seconds in fact, but once it does develop don't expect it to disappear quickly. After a few hours, the glossy feel goes but you are left with a pink stain on your lips and that stain really does not budge!

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #11 MAC Impassioned

Hello there,

It's 11/12/13 today, hope you are all well. Today I bring to you a MAC lipstick, I have 30 of them so you shouldn't be surprised when one of them pops up.

This lipstick isn't the most season appropriate but its a beaut all the same.

The duckface continues. MAC Impassioned is a bright fuschia pink. Perfect for summer days but I don't think it would be terrible to wear this time of year. I love bright or out there lipsticks, I think they work well with my pale skin and this lipstick is no different.

The finish of this lipstick is amplified creme, which means that there is no dragging on the lips during through the application process plus the pigmentation is amazing.
