30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #29 MAC Craving

Hello there,

Today's lipstick was justified in that it matched the top that I'm wearing. I am just that cool!!

MAC Craving

MAC Craving is a colour that I get drawn to a lot when I'm picking a lipstick. I don't know how it has got to day 29 before I've shown it to you.

Craving is a plummy pink colour and it is an amplified creme finish (which we all know is my favourite finish!). This means that the colour pigmentation is great and gives great colour pay off with just one swipe of the bullet. Also, this lipstick normally lasts about 3-4 hours on the lips with me, which as I've said before is about normal for me.

I really like wearing this lipstick, what do you think of it?

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #28 Revlon Cherries in the Snow

Hello there,

I know I failed again!! I missed out on day 27 and day 28 is a day late but I have excuses. Day 27 was spent by me in bed with my laptop watching Miranda Series 3 feeling sorry for myself and yesterday (the real day 28) was spent filming.

Anyway onto the lipstick, Cherries in the Snow, is one that I spent a lot of time and effort finding and I'm glad I found it.

Revlon Cherries in the Snow is the most amazing cherry pink, with a hint of red. Its a really hard colour to describe so hopefully you can see in the picture the colour, it is very pigmented.

The finish of this lipstick is a glossy creamy finish, which is perfect for me because I love a glossy lip.

This lipstick lasts about 3-4 hours on me which is about normal.

Do you have this lipstick?

Love,

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #26 YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 13 Pink in Paris

Hello there,

Anyone else still full up from yesterday? I know I am.
Today's lipstick is a beauty that I love to wear and it is one that isn't too in your face, which is good as I am off to see family and I don't think my great aunt, who is 94 ,would appreciate a bright or really dark lip.

Instead I have picked this lipstick because a) have you seen the packaging on a YSL Lipstick.. its amazing and b) I love this lipstick a lot!

I've been playing around with my Naked 3 Palette again, do you like my eye look?
Anyway the lipstick. The YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in the colour 13 Pink in Paris is a perfect pink colour, its not to in your face barbie pink but it isn't such a neutral pink that you can't see it. It is a lovely rose coloured pink.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipsticks are lovely and creamy but also very pigmented to boot. I love the finish you get with them and the colour of this lipstick remains as a stain even after the glossiness has gone.

The final thing I need to say about this lipstick is the packaging. There is something just magical about the tube that the lipstick comes in. It is gold in colour and the colour of each lipstick is shown in the middle with the YSL branding over the top of it. I have 4 YSL lipsticks all together and they are all truly beautiful.

The price of these lipsticks, of course, aren't cheap at around £24 a lipstick BUT when you consider the quality of the lipstick, the amazing packaging and the excitement you get whenever you see them in your storage system you won't be sorry.

30 Days 30 Lipsticks #25 MAC Russian Red

Hello there,

Firstly Merry Christmas everyone, I hope everyone has had a lovely day so far and that you all got loads of lovely presents.

As today is Christmas Day, there was only choice for colour... RED!!

MAC Russian Red

I've never been one to wear make up on Christmas Day, however I've decided to go wild this year. I'm sporting gold eye and a red lip and a touch of mascara and foundation, nothing to wild and it was simple to do.

MAC Russian Red is the perfect blue toned red for me, it just works perfectly with my pale complexion. It is a Matte finish, which isn't my favourite finish but it works a purpose and looks good so I don't mind.

I do find that this lipstick drags on application, which is something to keep in mind if you are looking into a purchase of this lipstick, however it isn't something that should stop you. If you prepare your lips before application with a lip scrub and a balm, you can fight the dragging sensation.

What do you think?

30 Days 30 Lipsticks #24 Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss ' Peony'

Hello there,

Its Christmas Eve!!!
Amongst other things, today symbolises the first day in 10 that I have been able to go make up free as I don't have any plans apart from sitting at home with my family watching television in my comfy jumper and jeggings combo, so please excuse the make up free picture later in this post.

As you might see from the title today is another lipgloss. I am just lounging around the house so I didn't want to rock any crazy lips so I plumped for this lipgloss, its my go to "I want to have something on my lips but I can't really be bothered" lip product.

The Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in 008 Peony is the perfect lovely lipgloss. It is a nudey coral lipgloss with glitter specks running through it.

Being a lipgloss, it doesn't have the longest staying life but oh well.
What do you think?

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #23 Rimmel Kate Moss 107

Hello there,

So day 23 is a day late... but it's here which is the point.
Yesterdays lipstick was chosen because it matched my outfit. I went to a Christmas carol concert so I brought out the big guns and wore my festive red ho ho ho jumper and wore the Rimmel Kate Moss 107 lipstick to match.

Rimmel Kate Moss 107 is a dark red wine colour, which is a lovely autumnal/winter option. Its a matte lipstick which means there is no gloss to the lipstick, which makes me sad but it is rather long lasting, which is a bonus.

This lipstick was a well hyped bloggers favourite last year and it is obvious to see why. The colour is gorgeous and the lipstick is long lasting, which means there is no need to reapply during the evening.

Do you own this lipstick?

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #22 MAC Rebel

Hello there,

I'm off to a Black Sabbath gig tonight, so today's lipstick is a rock appropriate lip colour.

MAC Rebel is one of those lipsticks which looks scary in the tube but on the lips, it's a  gorgeous one. I bought this lipstick last year around September time after seeing it in many tutorials online and I decided I had to have it. MAC Rebel is a gorgeous blackberry purple pink colour, which can be toned down if you are too afraid of the bold lip. The finish of this lipstick is Satin.

What do you think of this lipstick?

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day 21 NYX Beige

Hello there,

So day 21 is a little bit of a cheat... it's a lipgloss.

I wore this lipgloss, NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in the colour Beige, yesterday to go shopping with my mum in Sheffield. I wanted something simple on the lips as I had been playing around my new Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and I thought this would be a good option.

NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige, isn't a beige colour at all, instead its a light pink colour... it is a simple lovely nudey pink lipgloss, which reminds me of MAC Creme Cup.

As lip glosses go, this one isn't too bad. Its not overly sticky and the colour remains for a short while afterwards.

I promise I'll be back to lipsticks for day 22, I hope you didn't mind this cheat.

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #20 MAC See Sheer

Hello there,

I'm playing catch up again!! So we've got up first Day 20. This lipstick and the face attached was taken before a school Christmas Party this week. I had been at work all day so I was a little tired but I had packed some make up including this lovely lipstick.

MAC See Sheer Lipstick

MAC describe this lipstick as a grapefruit pink. I like to think of  See Sheer as a reddy lip for people who are too afraid of the bold red lip. It is a lustre finish so the finish is a little glossy but not at all sticky.

What do you think of this lipstick?

30 days 30 lipsticks Day #16 MAC Blankety

Hello there,

Another day, another lipstick. Today's is another MAC lipstick... to be fair I have 30 so it was going to be a few popping up. This lipstick is MAC Blankety.

Blurry picture ahoy!!
Anyway the lipstick. MAC Blankety is a nude lipstick and it does have a slightly browny beige look to it. Its not crazy brown, please don't let that put you off, it has a touch of pink in there.

It's finish is Amplified Creme, so the colour pay off is good and it is lovely and creamy on the lips, just what I love about that finish.

MAC Blankety was one of my first MAC lipsticks that I ever bought and it is because of my best friend showing me this lipstick that I was even introduced to MAC. Crazy really.

What do you think?

See you tomorrow,

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #15 Barry M TMLP

Hello there,

Day 15 brings you a little bit of magic in a lip bullet and that is Barry M TMLP. This is a lipstick which has puzzled non bloggers and captivated beauty bloggers all around.

In the bullet, this lipstick looks green but it is magic as that isn't the colour that is the end result on the lips.

Barry M TMLP Lipstick picture

Please excuse the face, it's no make up sunday so you get me warts and all but I hope you can appreciate the colour of the lipstick.

As far as I'm aware, Barry M TMLP reacts to each individual persons lip pH which means that the lipstick will be slightly different for every individual. The colour on my lips is a bright pink colour which reminds me of MAC Girl about Town.

This lip colour does need a little while to develop completely about 30 seconds in fact, but once it does develop don't expect it to disappear quickly. After a few hours, the glossy feel goes but you are left with a pink stain on your lips and that stain really does not budge!

Have you tried out this lip colour?

See you tomorrow,

30 Days 30 Lips Day #14 MAC Shy Girl

Hey Lovelies,

I know this one is a day late but I have my reasons...Yesterday I literally felt like I was dying of death from a cold. I couldn't breathe properly, my head throbbed everytime I moved and my throat was very sore. But after some wonder pills (Lemsip Max Strength Cold and Flu Tablets), a lot of juice/water and some rest I'm fighting it off and I feel 80% better today.

Day 14's lipstick is what I have always said is one of my least favourite MAC lipstick I own and that is MAC Shy Girl.

MAC SHY GIRL LIPSTICK

MAC Shy Girl to me is a coral/orange toned nude and 9 times out of 10 I just don't like it on my lips, I just think it looks strange against my skintone. But there is always that one time every so often when I wear it and love it.

It is a creamsheen finish, which means it doesn't drag during application so I can't fault it there, its just my love to hate lipstick colour. What do you think of it?

See you tomorrow,

30 days 30 lipsticks Day 13 MAC RIRi Woo

Hello there,

Friday 13th is upon is, I hope your day has not gone wrong. Touch wood my day has been alright.

Today's lip is one that I have put on tonight to go to a Christmas concert in Birmingham with my parents.

My make up look tonight was a mix of neautral from the day (i.e work) and a little extra with eyeliner, eyebrows and a crease colour on the eye.. All not pictured below.

I went for a statement red lip as it went well with my dress and I always think a red lip means glamour.

MAC RiRi Woo is a limited edition lipstick inspired by Rihanna's Favourite MAC shade, which has been released and re-released 3 times each time with different packaging. As you can see I own the version that came in the Rose Gold packaging.

It is a cool toned red, which is near enough identical to the permanent MAC shade Ruby Woo, so if you like the look of this lipstick, I suggest checking the alternative.

The one thing I don't like about this lipstick is the formula... It's a Retro Matte!! This means that it's matter than matte and that means it tends to drag on the lips during application and creates no shine on the lips ( and I like my creamy shiney finishes).

The bonus of a retro matte is that is staying power is amazing. I have friend who have said they can go a whole day without having to reapply.

What do you think of this lipstick?

                     See you tomorrow,
