A Month of MAC: MAC M.A.C Red

Hello there,

Day 24 of this series. I'm really happy how its all going, I'm getting a lot of comments back about how people are enjoying everything so thank you very much.

Today's lipstick is one of my favourite reds out there. Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet MAC M.A.C Red.

Eugh Blurry DSLR selfie. So the reason why I love this lipstick is that it has a touch of the old fashioned Hollywood Glamour to it and that is a look I really like.
MAC describes this Satin Finish lipstick as a Vivid Bright Bluish-Red.

A Month of MAC: MAC Viva Glam Rihanna

Hey there,

It's Day 4 of the Month of MAC and so far we have had a pink, a berry and a your lips but better. There's only one thing today could be... it's time for a red.

Not just any red though because this is one that you can't feel buying because all the money you pay for this lipstick goes straight to the MAC AIDS Fund.

Ladies and Gentlemen....Meet MAC Viva Glam Rihanna.

When this lipstick first got released, I was sure that it would be one that I'd never buy because it is a Frost Finish and I am really not a fan of that finish from past experiences. However once I had swatched it in a store with a friend a few months ago I decided that it needed to be in my collection because the colour was just too pretty to not have in my life.

It is described by MAC as a Frosty Blue-Red and there are no arguments from me. I love a blue toned red as it has the magical properties of making my teeth look a little bit whiter and this one is no different. 

When I first put this on, I kept looking at myself in the mirror all day. I love a good red lipstick at the best of times because it makes me feel confident but I can tell you I felt gosh darn wonderful with this lipstick on.

30 Days 30 Lipsticks #25 MAC Russian Red

Hello there,

Firstly Merry Christmas everyone, I hope everyone has had a lovely day so far and that you all got loads of lovely presents.

As today is Christmas Day, there was only choice for colour... RED!!

I've never been one to wear make up on Christmas Day, however I've decided to go wild this year. I'm sporting gold eye and a red lip and a touch of mascara and foundation, nothing to wild and it was simple to do.

MAC Russian Red is the perfect blue toned red for me, it just works perfectly with my pale complexion. It is a Matte finish, which isn't my favourite finish but it works a purpose and looks good so I don't mind.

I do find that this lipstick drags on application, which is something to keep in mind if you are looking into a purchase of this lipstick, however it isn't something that should stop you. If you prepare your lips before application with a lip scrub and a balm, you can fight the dragging sensation.
