A Month of MAC: MAC Violetta

Hey there,

We are into the last two days of the Month of MAC. I'm going to miss taking my picture with a lipstick on every day haha.

Anyway today's lipstick isn't going to be for everyone but today's lipstick is MAC Violetta.

This lipstick does remind me of MAC Heroine, which I've already shown in this month of MAC however Violetta has a slight iridescence to it and it has a different finish to it.

MAC describes this Amplified Finish Lipstick as a Bright Clean Violet Purple. Can't really argue there can you?

A Month of MAC: MAC Chatterbox

Hey there,

I put an instagram picture of today's lipstick up yesterday because it is a favourite of mine but I wasn't sure of the make up I had put with it...something about the eyeliner added didn't make me happy.

Anyway, today's lipstick is MAC Chatterbox.

I love this lipstick, it's a brightish pink without being in your face pink. This Amplified Finish lipstick is described by MAC as a Bright Red Pink. It is one of my favourites and one I think more people should have in their collections... I often think it's a forgotten lipstick.

A Month of MAC: MAC Craving

Hey there,

Another Lipstick, technically a day late but if you follow me on twitter (@tloatb90) you will know that my weekend ended quite stressfully and we understand why I couldn't publish this post when it should have gone up.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet MAC Craving.

This is very much an Autumn/Winter colour in my eyes, which meant it was very strange to put it on in August. 

This is a very deep autumnal shade, which MAC calls a Burst of Plum, which I think is more red than plum but anyway.

This lipstick is an Amplified finish Lipstick.

A Month of MAC: MAC Show Orchid

Hey there,

Today I am sharing with you a very special lipstick for me. It was my first Pro Range lipstick and it is also the first "high end" lipstick that I bought in London. I decided to wear this on my Birthday this year after hearing Aimee and Vanessa talking about it at a blogging event I went to last week.

It's gorgeous, it's lovely... Ladies and Gentlemen, meet MAC Show Orchid.

Would you just look at this lipstick! Can you tell why I love it?

This Amplified lipstick is described as a Vivid Hot Pink but what I find it forgets to mention is the slight iridescence or shimmer this lipstick has which I think just shoots it onto the next level.

I can't tell you how much I love this lipstick, any chance to wear it and I'm all over it. It is a lipstick that people say they are too scared to wear this lipstick but it is one that is definitely for everyone...trust me, I'm a lipstick addict.

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #29 MAC Craving

Hello there, 

Today's lipstick was justified in that it matched the top that I'm wearing. I am just that cool!!

MAC Craving is a colour that I get drawn to a lot when I'm picking a lipstick. I don't know how it has got to day 29 before I've shown it to you. 

Craving is a plummy pink colour and it is an amplified creme finish (which we all know is my favourite finish!). This means that the colour pigmentation is great and gives great colour pay off with just one swipe of the bullet. Also, this lipstick normally lasts about 3-4 hours on the lips with me, which as I've said before is about normal for me. 

I really like wearing this lipstick, what do you think of it?

30 days 30 lipsticks Day #16 MAC Blankety

Hello there,

Another day, another lipstick. Today's is another MAC lipstick... to be fair I have 30 so it was going to be a few popping up. This lipstick is MAC Blankety.

Anyway the lipstick. MAC Blankety is a nude lipstick and it does have a slightly browny beige look to it. Its not crazy brown, please don't let that put you off, it has a touch of pink in there.

It's finish is Amplified Creme, so the colour pay off is good and it is lovely and creamy on the lips, just what I love about that finish.

MAC Blankety was one of my first MAC lipsticks that I ever bought and it is because of my best friend showing me this lipstick that I was even introduced to MAC. Crazy really.

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #11 MAC Impassioned

Hello there,

It's 11/12/13 today, hope you are all well. Today I bring to you a MAC lipstick, I have 30 of them so you shouldn't be surprised when one of them pops up.

This lipstick isn't the most season appropriate but its a beaut all the same.

The duckface continues. MAC Impassioned is a bright fuschia pink. Perfect for summer days but I don't think it would be terrible to wear this time of year. I love bright or out there lipsticks, I think they work well with my pale skin and this lipstick is no different.

The finish of this lipstick is amplified creme, which means that there is no dragging on the lips during through the application process plus the pigmentation is amazing.

30 Days 30 Lipsticks Day #6 MAC Violetta

Hello there,

So the past few days have been rather muted as I have been taking the pictures before I drive to work at 7.30am and I don't want to scare the children with nearly black lips, however todays lipstick is something I just put on to show the beauty of it... so I put it on after work.

Today's lipstick is MAC Violetta, a true purple lipstick which is a Pro Lipstick. This doesn't mean you have to be a professional to get it, it just means you can only get it in a Pro Store. In the UK there are two Pro stores in London, I'm not sure if there are any other anywhere else.

The lipstick has an Amplified Creme finish, which means that it has a very creamy feel to it and a little bit of a glossy look. It is my favourite finish of all the MAC Lipstick finishes. 

I love the colour too... Purple is one of my favourite colours as you might be able to tell from my background, until last year I wouldn't have dared to put it on my lips. However, I really love wearing lipsticks like this one as I think that it works well with my pale skin, dark hair and brown eyes.
